Ombre Valentine

Hello Everyone!

Today I'm here with a cute Valentine themed card. This could be perfect for loved one who are away from you.  Here is the card

The background for this card is also created similar to my last card, if you did not get a chance to see it, you can view it here. I created the ombre background using Distress ink minis (colors mentioned in supplies) and ink blending tool. Then placing Simon Says Stamp - Trellis Grate stencil on the background panel, spritzed heavily this time with water on it using a spray bottle. Due to the reactive properties of Distress, color came off with the water creating background effect on the colors. Then using one of the dies from the Spellbinders - Shapeabilities Lace Hearts die set, cut out the focal point in white cardstock. Adhered it to the main background panel. Water-colored the tiny heart from the same die, coated it with Ranger Ink - Glossy Accents and adhered it to the background panel in the center using foam tape. Finally stamped the sentiment and adhered it to the background as well.

Did you all like it? I would love to hear back from you all. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice it. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

PS: If my posts inspire you to create something on similar lines, I feel highly flattered. But please, do respect the effort I take in conceptualizing and executing, please give a direct link to my work when you are inspired by mine. Thanks for understanding :-)

Mom's Birthday Card

Hello Everyone!
Today I'm here with a very special post. Today is my dearest mom's birthday. I call here "Aai" (Marathi translation for Mom). She is the best mother in this whole world. She is kind, loving, understanding and very nice. She is always a great support and guides me well in life. Thank you Aai for being my mother. I love you. May you be blessed with good health and loads of happiness in years to come.

Here is your card! Aai I hope you like the card.

I created the ombre background using Distress ink minis (colors mentioned in supplies) and ink blending tool. Then placing a floral stencil on the background, spritzed some water on it using a spray bottle. Due to the reactive properties of Distress, some of the color came off with the water creating a subtle floral background effect on the colors. On a tag, stamped a rose flower from the Inkadinkado Clear Stamps - Doodle Flowers set using Papertrey Dye Inks (colors mentioned in supplies). Later colored in the image using watercolor brush and lighter ink shades from the same brand. Also stamped the birthday sentiment using Verve Stamps - Birthday to You Plain Jane. Finally added DMC - gold tassel to the tag and adhered it to the background panel using foam tape, rounded corners of the panel and attached the entire panel on a white card base. Also rounded outside corners of the card base to match.

Did you all like it? I would love to hear back from you all. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice it. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

January Mixed Media Page

Hello Everyone!
If you got a chance to have a glance at my 2016 goals, I have decided to work on more non-card projects this year. So here I'm with my 1st installment of it.

Here is my art journaling

Here are a few closeup shots as well.

Lot of my style is similar to Vicky. This is a new art journal from the Ranger ink - Dylusions line. To start off with, I used Time Holtz tissue paper for background. Then applied some gesso to mellow down the effect and later colored it with acrylic paints (color listed in supplies). I stamped 2 butterflies on watercolor paper, pained them, fuzzy cut them and pasted them on the color background. Then stamped the focal sentiment and the floral design using Dylusions stamps (mentioned in supplies list).  All of my journaling materials is listed in the supply list). I have added a hint of stenciling on the top let corner using Dylusions - Floral Flourish. Finally to add finishing touch, sprinkled some diluted gesso using a small brush and added smaller size butterfly stickers on the pages.

So lets have a look at the card now

This was a rather challenging card for me as I have very little experience with image coloring. The image I used is from The Paper Shelter - Casual Boy. As this was a masculine card, I used pattern papers from The Mind's Eye - Boy Crazy 6x6 paper pad to create the background. I also tried to color the image in a similar color theme. Finally the sentiment Stampendous - Birthday Assortment set.
You can also find rest of the Design Team inspiration and also the Challenge Rules HERE. We hope you will play along for a chance to win the prize from The Paper Shelter !

I hope you all liked my card. I would love to hear back from you all. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice it. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

Hello Friend

Hello Everyone!

I have a really quick card for all today. Here is the card.

This is a super easy card to make. On a watercolor paper, stamped the Verve Stamps - Peacefuls Medallions in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. Then added water to the blended  heat embosed part and blended Distress inks (colors mentioned in supplies list) according to the MFT color combo challenge for this week. Let it dry. Till then on a teal cardstock, stamped the sentiment from the Verve Stamps - Floral sentiments set and cut it into a banner. Adhered the banner to the bottom of the watercolor panel with foam tape and pasted the entire panel on a bit larger teal cardstock panel. Lastly attached the entire piece on a white card base.

I'm submitting this card for : MFT Sketch challenge ,MFT Color challenge and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
