Pinterest Inspired Challenge - Birthday Card

Hello Everyone!
Today I have a masculine themed card for you all. Its inspired by the February Pinterest Inspired Challenge image

Let's have a look at the card.

I started off by taping Strathmore  series watercolor paper to Dylusions - Stars stencil (small). Then created the background by blending a few Distress Ink minis (colors mentioned in supply list). Adhered the watercolor paper panel to a navy blue card stock. Using same navy blue cardstock diecut another piece for the sentiment background using largest die from Momenta ArtC - Thinking for you set. Then I cut this diecut 2/3rd & worked on the sentiment. For the sentiment, I die cut word "Happy" from Simon Says Stamp - Happy Winter Die set using green cardstock and stamped "Birthday" using Versamark ink & Papertrey Ink - Birthday Bash Sentiments stamp and heat embossed in white.  Adhered the entire sentiment panel to the main card base using foam tape. Finally finished the card by adding a few pearl accents.

I hope you all liked it. I would love to hear back from you all. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice it. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

PS: If my posts inspire you to create something on similar lines, I feel highly flattered. But please, do respect the effort I take in conceptualizing and executing, please give a direct link to my work when you are inspired by mine. Thanks for understanding :-)

Sketch Saturday #393

Hello Everyone!!!

I have a really great news to share with you all! I have been selected to work with some awesome ladies from Sketch Saturday on their Design Team. This is an opportunity I was waiting for a very long time. Sketch Saturday is a card sketch challenge that goes live with a new sketch every Saturday and runs for a week.

Today I bring you my 1st card inspiration for their Challenge #393. The sketch is mentioned below

The sponsors for this week are Sami Stamps.

Finally here is my card based on the sketch. The "Butterfly" image is from Sami Stamps.

Here are a few side angle shots to see the dimension.

Here is a close-up shot.

The digital image only shows 2 wings of the butterfly, but I resized the image, pasted it in MS Word 4 times, flipped 2 of the images vertically and then printed them. I kept 2 images as it is and for the other 2 did some fuzzy cutting so that I could create some dimension. I colored all the images in Faber Castell watercolor pencils, pasted the fuzzy cut wings just at the tip where wings attach to the butterfly body and gave the remaining part of wings some shape and dimension . Then die-cut few flower shapes from Spellbinders - Rose Creations (smallest 2 dies, created a flower. Pasted everything on a green panel and then on a yellow larger panel with a ribbon in the middle. Finally stamped the sentiment from Verve Stamps - Floral Notes , adhered the entire panel on a white card base using foam tape and embellished with a few rhinestones.

You can see all the Design Team inspiration and also the Challenge Rules HERE. We hope you will play along for a chance to win the prize from "Sami Stamps!

I hope you all liked it. I would love to hear back from you all. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice it. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)
