Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

Today for Thanksgiving I have a special card for you. I dedicate this card to all my family, friends and well-wishers who have supported me through in past few years.

Created a few distress backgrounds using Distress Ink Minis (Colors listed below). Then die-cut leaf shapes. On a shimmer cardstock, adhered the leaves using gleudots. Stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink & heat embossed in gold.

Diwali Cards - Day 5

Hello Everyone!

Today I'm back with my last installment of Diwali cards. If you have just dropped all my Diwali cards here.

Today I have Shaker cards for you. Lets see the cards
 

 

  

I wanted to create shaker cards for a long time now. But wasn't getting the correct opportunity. For these cards I created the background using Distress Ink Mini inkpads and Ranger Tim Holtz Mini Ink Blending Tool (colors used are listed in supplies).Then stamped the floral stamp from StudioG randomly using  Papertrey Ink - Pure poppy. The shaker panel is adhered to card base using foam tape. I added golden, silver sequins and some red beads for the shaker effect. The Diwali lamp is hand drawn and colored using Faber-Castell Pencil colors and the lamp flame is cut from gradient created using Distress Ink Minis. The sentiment is stamped on a watercolored background using StudioG alphabet stamps.

Diwali Cards - Day 4

Hello Everyone!

I'm back again with another installment of Diwali cards. If you have just dropped all my Diwali cards here.

My cards today is inspired by the CAS-ual Fridays latest challenge. 

Lets look at the cards 

 

  

I could not resist by just making one. I used various pattern papers from DCWV - The Old World Stack pattern paper. Heat embossed the Inkadinkado  - flower stamp randomly. On Spellbinders- Fleur de Lis Square pasted the Diwali lamp cut out from glitter paper. I stenciled the square panel using Distress inks to add charm and interest. Hand wrote the sentiment using the Versamarker pen and then heat embossed that as well in gold & silver to match the background.

Diwali Cards - Day 3 (Bonus card)

I'm here again today with another card. I had this idea last night while going to sleep. I saw that the ColorMe Challenge for this week was bright and festive. So did not want to loose it and thus made a card as soon as I got up. 

Here is the color combo they offered this week for the challenge

I was inspired to do this card as the color combo and the stamp set I used reminds me of Rangoli designs. is a folk art from India in which patterns are created on the floor in living rooms or courtyards using materials such as colored rice, dry flour, colored sand or flower petals. It is usually made during Diwali (Deepawali), Onam, Pongal and other Indian festivals. They are meant to be sacred welcoming areas for the Hindu deities generation to the next, keeping both the art form and the tradition alive. Diwali being the most auspicious, people draws elaborate designs.

For the card, the colorful background is created using Papertrey Ink - Guidelines 1,2 sets. Attached it to a yellow panel. Attached yellow and green ribbon across and adhered the entire panel on card base using foam sheet (saw this trick in Jennifer Mcguire's videos' & I think it is useful). Made the lamp and flam out of glitter paper and adhered it on Spellbinders - Ironwork die. Cut a simple tag and stamped the "Happy Diwali" sentiment using StudioG alphabet stamps. Attached the tag to the ribbon using glue dots

Another day of Diwali cards! If you just dropped by, check out my Day 1 and Day 2 cards. Shall we get started for today?

Lets first see today’s cards!

The backgrounds are embossed using Darice embossing folder - Paisley. Then on Spellbinders - Floral Ovals (shaded it with Distress ink) , placed the lamps. Hand cut a lamp shape out of Kraft cardstock and shaded it using Distress Ink. The lamp flames are die cut from the leaves of Spellbinders - Rose Creations die set. Also shaded the flames with Distress ink. The sentiment is stamped using StudioG alphabet stamps. Then used rhinestones & Ranger Stickles to add a charm to the card.
