Cupcake Inspirations Challenge#138

Hello once again!!!!
I know most of you out there must have already started making Christmas preparations. So even I started off making a few holiday cards. Here is my 1st one...

The color inspiration for this card is from Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #138. I wanted to use my new Fiskars Ultra Shape Cutter & Circle template for cutting the cirlces & the scallopes & so I got a chance for this one. Then stamped the "Happy Holidays" sentiment from the Think Big Favourites 8 collection from PTI.

I hope you all like my card. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice this card. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

Its called the Bargello Technique

Hello everyone!!!
Its been long since my last post. Also its been very long since I made anything in real paper. So here is my latest card. I followed Bargello Technique from Priya's blog. She showed this excellent illustration using patterned paper scrap. I tried the same thing in cardstock scraps & I liked the way it came out. To complete the card I also added a few quilled balloons.

So here is the card......

I have used my first ever purchased PTI "Happy Birthday"stamp from their Communique Curves Sentiments. I hope you all like my card. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice this card. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

My first ever scrapbook layout....

Hello everyone!!!
Today I would like to share a little something with all you out there. I got attracted to starting this blog only because I was addicted to going through scrap booking stuff uploaded by blogger's all over the web for a very long time when I was in college. But whenever I sat to make a scrapbook layout, I couldn't come up with anything. It made me sad :( :( :(

But then I put it aside because I found a new hobby & that was quilling & that was the start of card making & this blog. Still whenever I saw a cool layout by some fellow blogger I admired it & my urge to scrapbook came up again ...... One such inspirations is a good friend & a fellow blogger Smitha Katti. She always comes up with these beautiful layout of pictures of her family. She also has a great card making talent.

So here I'm presenting my 1st ever scrapbook layout. Its a digital layout using Photoshop CS5. Finally here it is ...... Ta-dahh.....

This layout is inspired from here. I hope you all liked it. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice it. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

Happy Haunts....

Hi there! I'm so glad you could stop by. I have a card for you today. Its my very first attempt to make a Halloween card. I never tried making one before but the digi's from MelJen's Designs are so tempting that I had to make one. But them I need the correct inspiration that came from colourQ challenge #107... & Mojo Monday #211. I know you all must be really confused reading all this, but you understand once you see all the images below.

So using color inspiration from ColorQ #107 & card pattern idea from Mojo Monday #211 & came up with my own, very first Halloween card. Here goes the first view..... ta-dah......!!!!

Isn't it gr8???? I loved the way I came out. I adhered a Pumpkin Pie card stock & brown pattern paper from K&Company on white card stock. Added a Lucky Lemonade ribbon & bow. Printed the Happy Haunts digi on white & adhered it to a plain Razzleberry background. to add more of a Halloween effect I added another spider digi using dimensional's. Both the digi's are from MelJen's Design's. I colored them using color pencils.
I know you all would love a few more close-up looks of the card, so here you go....

Also this card is a perfect fit for The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge #1 which is themed for Halloween. I hope you all like my card. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice this card. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

No Pattern paper........

Hello everyone!!! I know that its been a long time since my last post, but had been busy with other stuff so card making got a little side-tracked. But I'm back now & will try not to have more absence.

This new card is for WMC68. This weeks challenge theme is  "No Pattern Paper" projects. So I just used a plain red cardstock.

Used quilling paper to make the flower.

Frame it.....

Hello everyone!!!!I am so glad that you stopped by!  I am so excited to share my new card with you today. As you all know I won MelJen's Card challenge last week & since then I have become a big fan of all the digital stamps designed by Melissa, she is fab!!!!! I loved the way it came out when colored & completed. So this is my card.....

As this week challenge theme is "Frame it", I adhered the image on a green colored cardstock. Here is a closeup of my image.

News that made my day.....

Hello my friends!!!
I have a gr8 news for you'll. Do you remember my "Happy Birthday!" card which I made last week???? Yes, I'm talking about the same card which was liked by many of you. I had entered into 2 different card challenges, one was Card Patterns #124 & MelJen's Design Challenge #67.

Guess what, the card won #1 position in "MelJen's Design Challenge #67" [here is the link to her site]. Please don't mind if you guys find my name spelled wrong there. Anyways, this is my 1st time to win any card challenge.

Thank you very much to Melissa & her entire team in advance for the wonderful freebies you gals are gonna give give for this success. Yes, I said in advance because I have to select 3 digital stamps from Melissa's store & email her about it, but the problem is that Melissa has 480 very cute digi's in her store & its really difficult to select 3 out of them. Well, I think I'll be able to figure that out which are the end of the day. For now I wanna enjoy this feeling of winning a card challenge.

Here is a snap of the card of all of those who haven't seen my last post on it [click the image to go to that post].

Thank you very much for taking your time to visit my blog. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone!!!! I am so glad that you stopped by!  I am so excited to share my new card with you today. For this card I have followed this weeks Card Patterns layout no. 124. I was not able to participate  in Card Patterns for last couple of weeks for some reasons. Anyways, I loved the way it came out to be....So here it is!

The layout for this week is:
So got an opportunity to try my new Fiskars Oval stencil set to create the center piece, then stamped it with image of birthday cake. Then I colored the cake using Crayola color pencils.

Finally at the bottom to create the bow I used 1/8' quilling paper & adhered it with a matching button. Also punched small flowers out of the same patterned paper which is used for the background.

That reminds me this weeks MelJen's Design Challenge #67 is all about "Buttons & Bows". I think the card matches it. Thank you very much for taking your time to notice this card. Hope to hear again from all of  u soon. Till then take care. :)

Congratulation card

This is my congratulation card dedicated to my friend Bhargavi Mahadik who scored nice marks in her 10th grade exams. I created this card using this weeks Card Pattern layout no.120. which is given below:

The main thing I liked about this card is the center piece sticker which my another friend Rashee gave me from her sticker collection for this card. The sentiment really comes out through it.
Hope you all like it. Thank you for passing by & hope to see you next week..... :)

Trying Card Pattern 119

Hi! Hope everyone had a great Sunday...I came across this great card challenge website , Card Patterns & wanted to try out the layouts they provide. So today I'm trying out the their card pattern 119 to make a simple Father's day card.

The layout the provide was as below:

I pasted a "Thanks Dad" cardstock sticker on a red background to create the centre. I wanted the to make the other to circles but they would hide the brown stripes with "polka dots", so I added dimensional stickers from Momenta as flowers on both sides & attached red rhinestones to add completeness.

But still the top & bottom corners remained blank so I added smalll quilled flowers to it.

Well, I loved playing with the card layout & I think I'm going to do it every week now. Even the card came out very good. Hope my dad loves it too ......Happy Father's day :) !!!!!
Thank you for stopping by..... see u all soon :)
